Hand Carved Wooden Flying Dragonfly On Wood Rose

A beautiful Dragonfly is carved from Soft Wood and the stand is in Wood Rose.

Parasite wood, or the more attractive term “Wood Rose , Jempinis wood”, is a malformation of a tree; most commonly the Chinaberry or Mango tree, caused by a parasite that embeds itself into the bark. The parasite growth is so hard and dense that it keeps its form long after the host tree has died and rotted away. These Wood Roses are then collected by talented Bali artisans to create carvings and display pieces, showing their unusual, natural beauty.
